Willow Tree Removal Part 2: Stumps
Despite the snow falling and he half-inch on the ground the tree removal crew was at it again this morning. 8:05am “Buzzz! Buzzz! Buzzz! KERTHUNK!!!” 8:15am “Buzzz! Buzzz! Buzzz! KERTHUNK!!!” and there were two stumps left. The chainsaw was used to cut the boles into manageable sized parts. Then they brought in a new piece of machinery I had never seen in action before. The claw truck. This truck has a giant claw attached to the truck. It works much like the claws in those arcade games were you use a claw inside a box to pick up toys or prizes. The operator had to climb up onto the roof of the truck to get into the chair which has the controls for the claw. 45 minutes later all of the logs and most of the litter was gone. The crew has moved up the road around the curve now. Selleck has decided that they are far enough away for it to be safe for him to come out of the bedroom. It’s amazing how much brighter it is even on such a gloomy, overcast day without the two willows. Emily
