Dear Crustaceans

October 2, 2014

Dear Crustaceans,

You have existed for millennia (ever since the Cambrian Period of the Paleozoic Era in fact, 541-485.4 million years ago). You come in a staggering 67,000 species, some of whose shapes are incredibly weird and wonderful.  You live such strange life cycles, forming a hard exoskeleton which you must moult as you grow. Many of you are edible, I love the flavor of shrimp, prawns, crabs, and lobster. Long may you continue to thrive!

Sincerely yours,

Emily

Pick up the nearest book and flip to page 29. What’s the first word that jumps off the page? Use this word as your springboard for inspiration. If you need a boost, Google the word and see what images appear, and then go from there.
Today’s twist: write the post in the form of a letter.
