When in the Springtime of the Year,
Released from the Chill of Winter Drear,
the Trees all Don Leaves of bright yellow-green,
Beehives are abuzz with the Orders of the Queen,
the Returning Birds begin to Twitter and Sing,
Flitting to and fro on many a Bustling Wing,
and each little Plant starts to Grow anew,
my every Thought turns to Memories of you,
for a Moment or two I Atone,
Feeling so Lost and Alone,
then do I Recall,
all that did Befall,
the Hopes and Dreams you did Smash,
the Pain caused by our Constant Clash,
and I Search fo a New Love True,
beneath Skies of Cornflower-blue.

In response to daily Prompt: Opening Lines
What’s the first line of the last song you listened to (on the radio, on your music player, or anywhere else)? Use it as the first sentence of your post.

The last song I heard today was The Mummer’s Dance by Loreena McKennitt, and the first line of the song is “When in the springtime of the year”.
