Tempus Fugit (Time Flees)

May 5, 2014

Tempus fugit (time flees)
Running wildly
Like a thief
Evading the law
Lost moments whip past
Blink, they are gone
Beyond all retrieval
Tiny grains of sand
Slithering down
Steep slippery slopes
Funneling through
Narrow channels
Filling the hourglass
Of our time
Clocks ticking down
Hours, minutes, and seconds
Zipping along
Memories fading
Life-force ebbing
Eternity passing by
Death consumes everything.
