Oh, That You Should Be Lost To Me

March 8, 2014

pad2014-sOh, that you should be lost to me,
gone past all hopes of recovery,
a cry from deep within my soul,
your absence burns like a fiery coal.
You extinguished love’s one true spark,
when you chose to join the ranks of the Dark,
You have removed yourself from my Sight,
For I stand together with the Light.
You surrendered to the pull of envy and greed,
leaving my heart alone to wither and bleed.
My grief and sorrow know no bounds,
sadness tinges all that surrounds.
With regret for you I shall mourn,
to a battle to the death are we sworn,
I drape myself in gloom,
as I lay our love in a tomb.
You have left me with no choice,
a dirge for your loss I voice.
Mournfully I turn away,
and resume the eternal fray.
