 This is the eleventh Law of Cats.

The cat whose fur contrasts the most with your outfit is the one who will jump up onto your lap and leave its hair on the fabric.

Dark on light and vice versa. A calico or tortoise shell cat can contrast with anything. This always happens to me when I am going out in public. I have learned to keep a sticky roller by the front door and run it over my clothing just before I leave. What a great invention! Much more effective than the brush I used to have. Emily
