This is the ninth law of cats that I have observed.
Always groom yourself thoroughly everyday. Your appearance is important, one should always look their best.

I have watched in fascination as my cats contorted their bodies into a number of different positions in their quest to ensure that every single bit of fur is clean and going in the right direction. It is amazing the ways they bend and stretch. They get quite a workout going through this cat-yoga. It’s a good thing that they are so flexible. Earlier this morning Selleck was cleaning his left rear toes. He sat on his butt somewhat curled, his tail underneath him. He braced himself on his front paws and shot out his left rear foot. He carefully used his teeth to nibble at the fur between each toe. He then washed each toe individually. Worn out from his exertions he enacted the eighth law and took a nap. Emily
