This is the eighth law of cats.

When in doubt, take a nap.

My cats have taught me many things, among them, that any situation or problem is easier to deal with after you have slept on it (sometimes literally). If you are mad or cranky, take a nap and you’ll feel better. It doesn’t matter what position you sleep in as long as you are comfortable. Twenty or thirty minutes is plenty for a nap. My sister’s cat Cuddlebee liked to sleep on his back in the dip between the couch cushions. My cat, Calico, his sister, liked to jump up on top of the refrigerator and curl up into a ball to sleep.
