Write whatever you normally write about, and weave in a book quote, film quote, or song lyric that’s been sticking with you this week.

“And the rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.” Genesis 7:12

My latest earworm for obvious reasons is from the Bible. The reality isn’t quite that bad. It has only rained sixteen days out of the last forty and it has not been continuous. It does feel longer however. I had a severe thunderstorm last night. It was very close, three miles away. The thunder and lightning lasted fifteen minutes. The rain slashed down for thirty minutes and then eased to a steady downfall for the next two hours. I was getting light sprinkles off and on this morning. The ground is a swampy, muddy mess. I just can’t get the association with the story of Noah’s Ark out of my head. It has to stop sometime, hopefully soon. In the meantime, does anyone have any good plans for turning a trailer into a houseboat? Emily
