The Bluets Are Blooming

April 17, 2013

Bluets (Photo credit: Mean and Pinchy)

It’s nice today. The sun is shining. When I went to get the mail earlier I noticed that the bluets under the magnolia tree were blooming. Bluets are small (the size of a thumbnail), star-shaped, dark blue/purple flowers. The morning doves have returned. I heard several cooing outside my bedroom window today.

The cats each found a puddle of sunshine and basked in the rays. Bandit has a strange habit. She purrs while she eats her food. Selleck saw his first chipmunk earlier. He gnashed his teeth and pressed his nose to the glass, frustrated that he couldn’t chase after it.

Since I last posted I’ve reread two J.D. Robb books. Naked in Death and Glory in Death. J.D. Robb is better known as Nora Roberts. Her In Death Series are futuristic/mystery/romances. I enjoy them very much. Emily
